I have always loved music, some of my best and earliest memories are of watching my father play a washboard in a skiffle band (you may need to google what that is if you're not from England!). And then me always wanting to play along, I think i may have also just liked bashing things. At the first opportunity I took drum lessons under the legendary Dougie Wright, then later at the Drum Academy in Leicester under the awesome Rich Pells.

I worked my way through the drum grades, achieving a distinction on grade 8 at age 21. Since then I have been playing drums and percussion in many styles in the studio and on the stage. Some artists I have worked and toured with include Groove Armada, Bent, Jon Carter, Rob Da Bank, Krafty Kutz, Earth The Californian Love Dream, El Mahico, The Kids, The UFK Collective... and many more.

My continuing passion is the creation of music, which is something I’ve been motivated by all my life. It has helped me connect with inspiring people and develop long-lasting creative collaborations.

I have a philosophy with drumming which is to create rhythm parts that best serve the song and give it the energy it needs to make the songwriter and listener the happiest bunnies in the room.

My newest fascination is with Ableton Live and I love discovering new ways in which to integrate electronic drumming and sampling into a live environment through this creative digital tool.

Recording has taken on new meaning with today's software and with a good knowledge on recording techniques I am now also able to offer lessons and advice to students on how to get better results in the studio, whether playing for a band or looking to record themselves.

I also run on special request a bespoke drum workshop where I teach rhythms and record the participants parts to create a final drum composition.
